Annual Banquet

Join SMSNA for a fantastic evening full fabulous cuisine, New Orleans fun and live music featuring Deacon John. For many decades Deacon John has symbolized the ultimate in dance music. Deacon, with his band Deacon John & the Ivories, was the first rock ’n’ roll musician to play with the New Orleans Symphony in 1970. A t the: invitation of President Bush, he played at the Congressional Ball at the White House in 2005 and in 2007, he was chosen to sing for the historic inauguration of Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal. Don’t miss this special event!

Superior Room: $189.00 (plus applicable taxes)
Deluxe Room: $219.00 (plus applicable taxes)
Club Level Room: $249 (plus applicable taxes)

SMSNA has negotiated a discounted rate of $189.00 plus tax (currently 13%) for a superior room at the InterContinental New Orleans. Additional charges for people over 17 years of age are $30.00 per person per night with a maximum of four people per room, including minors. Deluxe rooms with a balcony overlooking the interior courtyard are available at a rate of $219.00 plus tax and club level rooms which feature a larger room on a key access only floor with concierge lounge privileges are available at a rate of $249.00 plus tax.

Hotel Deadline

October 25, 2013

The deadline to receive the SMSNA group rate is October 25, 2013. SMSNA encourages you to make your reservation early, as the hotel and discount block may sellout before this date. After this date, reservations will be accepted based on availability and higher rates may apply.

Reservations

Attendees are responsible for making their reservations by calling the hotel at (888) IC HOTELS or visiting the website at https://resweb.passkey.com/go/sexualmedicinesociety. Please reference the SMSNA to receive the discounted rate.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations cancelled after 72 hours prior to arrival, will be charged one night room and tax penalty.

Airport Information

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is approximately 15 miles from the InterContinental New Orleans or 22 minutes by car.

Airport Shuttle

Shuttle service is available from the airport to the hotels in the CBD for $20.00 (per person, one-way) or $38.00 (per person, round-trip). Three bags per person. Call (866) 596-2699 or (504) 522-3500 for more details or to make a reservation. Advance reservations are required 48 hours prior to travel for all ADA accessible transfers. Please call in advance of your travel date for the specially-equipped shuttle to be reserved. For group reservations of 50 or more people please dial (866) 596-2699. Early Registration Deadline

Meeting registration forms must be received by the SMSNA Executive Office by 10/25/13 to receive the discounted early registration rate. All forms received after this deadline will be assessed the regular registration fee.

Registration Cancellation & Refund Policy

Registration refund requests must be submitted in writing to the SMSNA Executive Office by 10/21/13. All refund requests will be subject to a $100 processing fee. No refunds will be made after 10/21/13.
