The Surgical Lab sponsored by SUPS & SMS is now full. If you have any questions regarding the lab please contact the SUPS Executive office at (847) 517-7225.
Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA) and The Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons (SUPS) are pleased to announce the 15th SUPS/SMS Surgical Lab being held during the SMSNA Annual Fall Scientific Meeting in Scottsdale, AZ on November 3-6, 2016. Through educational grants, we are sponsoring the Surgical Lab free of charge to 30 of North American urology residents.
The Surgical Lab will be proctored by leading urologists skilled in the surgical management of prosthetic urology and Peyronie’s repair. Each participant selected will receive coach airfare, and 2 nights’ hotel accommodations (Thursday, November 3rd and Friday, November 4th, 2016. Participating residents will be assigned a roommate). Residents and or their residency program will be responsible for additional costs including hotel accommodations for additional nights.
The Surgical Lab will take place on Friday, November 4thth, 2016. We are pleased to offer an expanded experience for the residents which include a Didactic Lecture in the morning and the Surgical Lab in the afternoon.
A nominated resident candidate should meet the following criteria:
- 4th or 5th year urology resident of an AUA accredited urological residency program
- Demonstrated leadership skills within their urology residency
- Urology resident who would like to experience a lecture and lab environment to perfect their skills in prosthetic urology and who have not participated in a recent prosthetic lab.
The first 30 nominees who meet the requirements will be invited to attend the Surgical Lab. We hope that you will join us in sending one of your best residents to this valuable seminar. Many urology residents are not as familiar with the surgical advances for the treatments and procedures as others. As organizations, both SMSNA and SUPS are committed to educating residents in prosthetic urology and Peyronie’s management.
Thank you for permitting us to sponsor one of your residents for this important seminar. Details for travel, accommodations, and further information regarding this program will be sent directly to your nominated resident. We are asking you to nominate one resident candidate from your program to attend. Please complete the ”nomination form” and fax it to (847) 517-7229 or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than August 26, 2016. Confirmations will be sent after the August 26th deadline.
Please feel free to contact Heather Swanson at the SUPS Office at email@example.com or (847) 517-7225, with any questions you may have.
