CALL FOR APPLICATION - TRAVEL GRANTS TO 2020 ANNUAL A.U.A. UROLOGY ADVOCACY SUMMIT

In 2020, SMSNA will once more be participating in the Annual A.U.A. Urology Advocacy Summit from March 15-18, 2020 in the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. This A.U.A.-led event aims to expand, strengthen and unify the voice of urology on policy matters impacting our practices and patients by bringing together a broad array of stakeholders, including patient advocates and researchers. The 2019 Annual Urology Advocacy Summit brought together nearly 250 urologists, advanced practice providers, researchers, and patient advocates to advocate for key urologic issues in Washington, DC.

SMSNA is encouraging members to attend the summit and has made available funding to support members to attend the 2020 Annual Urology Advocacy Summit, with travel reimbursement up to $1,500.   • Statement of Interest

The conference will host speakers ranging from urologists to patients, to government employees and members of Congress. It will feature grassroots lobbying training for those new to the process, and will provide opportunities for participants to meet with lawmakers and their staff and some to attend a meeting with officials at agencies such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services or the National Institutes of Health.
