The Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA) is pleased to announce its endorsement of the newly released AUA Guideline: Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause: AUA/SUFU/AUGS Guideline (2025).
Developed in collaboration with the American Urological Association (AUA), the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction (SUFU), and the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS), this guideline offers an evidence-based approach to the evaluation and management of genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM). It has also been endorsed by The International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH) and The Menopause Society (TMS).
With this endorsement, SMSNA affirms its commitment to advancing clinical guidance and supporting best practices in the care of individuals experiencing GSM. The guideline is now available online and SMSNA's endorsement will be reflected on the AUA website and the unabridged PDF version of the document.
