SMSNA RFA Research Grant Fund

The SMSNA has selected the focus area of the Treatment of Delayed Ejaculation in 2024.

In the first half of the year, the SMSNA will set up a Registry: SMSNA members who participate in this registry may invite patients who are being started on treatment for delayed ejaculation to complete a compensated questionnaire.

In early March, SMSNA will select a host for the Registry and design the questionnaire. This will be a collaborative effort between the Research Grants Committee and the host team.

When enrollment in the Registry begins, all SMSNA members who enroll will have the opportunity to query the data (based on pre-defined prioritizations ranked by number of enrolled patients) for use in presentations/publications.

In the second half of 2024, the SMSNA will send out another RFA to solicit investigator- initiated studies in delayed ejaculation with proposals vetted by the SMSNA.

  • Applications will be accepted from SMSNA members in good standing who reside in North America.

  • Applicants must have completed their final year of formal training (e.g. fellowship, post-doctorate).

  • Applications will be accepted from investigators with any academic background, including but not limited to: urology, psychology, psychiatry, gynecology, internal medicine, geriatrics, public health, physiology, genetics, molecular biology, social work, law.

  • Research projects must be carried out within the United States or Canada to qualify for funding.
