L. Nedda Dastmalchi, DO, MA, is a second-year general cardiology fellow at Temple University Hospital (Philadelphia, PA). She studied medical anthropology at Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH), where she earned her master’s degree, before completing her doctorate of osteopathy at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (Blacksburg, VA). Dr. Dastmalchi trained in internal medicine at The George Washington University (Washington, DC), specializing in underserved Medicine and Public Health. Passionate about research, she is interested in topics related to prevention of women’s cardiovascular disease and nutrition. She has also written for the medical unit of ABC News since 2020 on topics ranging from COVID-19 to cardiovascular disease. Going forward, Dr. Dastmalchi hopes to implement the importance of nutrition in the inpatient setting as well as help find ways in assessing cardiovascular disease risk in pre-menopausal age groups. Additionally, she would like to continue teaching the public through the media.

Dr. Jose Flores is a urologic surgeon specializing in male sexual and reproductive health.

At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK), Dr. Flores often sees men with active cancer or a history of cancer. Dr. Flores and his patients meet before and after treatment to address its effects on sexual function and fertility and, when relevant, to discuss available medical and/or surgical interventions that can alleviate problems related to sex and fertility. Dr. Flores also provides sexual and reproductive healthcare to men who have never been diagnosed with cancer.

Dr. Flores completed three years of clinical fellowship training in urology, spending one year at the University of Illinois at Chicago and two years at MSK. Additionally, he has nearly a decade of clinical experience as an attending urologist in his native country of Chile. His clinical training and experience dovetails with research; He has been involved in academic research throughout his career and served as a research fellow for two years in the Department of Urology at the University of Minnesota.

When Dr. Flores is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children, exploring New York, and traveling.

Dr. Khera earned his undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University. He subsequently earned his Masters Degree in Business Administration and his Masters Degree in Public Health from Boston University. He received his Medical Degree from The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio and completed his Urology residency training in the Scott Department of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine. At Baylor, he completed a one-year general surgery internship and then went on to complete a five-year residency program in Urology. After completing his Urology residency, he went on to complete a one-year fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Baylor. Currently he is a Professor in the Scott Department of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine and he holds the F. Brantley Scott Chair in Urology. Dr. Khera specializes in male and female sexual dysfunction, Men’s Health and hormone replacement therapy. Dr. Khera also serves as the Director of the Laboratory for Andrology Research, the Medical Director of the Baylor Executive Health Program and the Medical Director of the Scott Department of Urology. He also serves as President-Elect of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America.

Dr. Khera has dedicated his clinical and research efforts to three main areas: Men’s Health, sexual medicine, and hormone replacement therapy. Soon after completing my fellowship he started the Laboratory for Andrology Research. His laboratory focuses on basic science research and he has had the opportunity to train many residents and research fellows over the past 12 years. In addition to his basic science research, he has initiated numerous FDA approved clinical trials. His basic science and clinic experiences have allowed him to thus far give over 250 lectures at scientific meetings throughout the world, publish over 120 articles in peer reviewed journals, complete 15 book chapters, and edit and write two books all in the field of sexual medicine and Men’s Health.

In 2007 he was awarded the American Urologic Association (AUA) Research Scholars Award to study the correlation between ED and BPH. In 2013 he was elected to serve a 4 year term on the American Urologic Society Examination Committee. Dr. Khera has also served on the AUA Peyronie’s Disease and Erectile Dysfunction Guidelines Panel. For the past several years he has taught numerous course in testosterone therapy and sexual dysfunction nationally and throughout the world.

Dr. Khera freely shares his time and knowledge with the general public. He has been voted several times as one of Houston’s Best Doctors by Health and Sport Fitness Magazine and by Houstonia Magazine and is a frequent guest on such TV programs as Fox News’ “Ask the Doctor.” He also writes a blog on Men’s Health for the Houston Chronicle Newspaper.

Dr. John Mulhall is a board-certified urologist and a microsurgeon who specializes in sexual and reproductive medicine and surgery. As a microsurgeon, Dr. Mulhall performs delicate procedures using operating microscopes and miniaturized precision instruments on the very small structures in the genitourinary tract.

Khurram Nasir MD MPH Msc is the Chief of Cardiovascular Disease Prevention and Wellness and the inaugural Director for the newly founded Center for Cardiovascular Computational Health & Precision Medicine (C3-PH). He is also Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and Visiting Professor at London School of Economics. Dr. Nasir received his MD from Pakistan, followed by Master’s degree in public health at John Hopkins University. Dr. Nasir completed his internal medicine residency at Boston Medical Center and cardiology fellowship at Yale University. He also received postdoctoral research training at the division of cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital and NIH T-32 fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. In 2017, he earned a Master’s degree in Health Economics and Policy Management from London School of Economics & Political Science.
His clinical and research interests in lies in role of precision medicine in healthcare, big data applications and health equity. He is currently PI of 2 NIH RO1 funded studies and part of 4 health system consortium $20 million 5-year contract announced by PCORI last month. He is also the Principal Investigator for the longitudinal population-based prospective cohort (Miami Hearty Study) . He is currently Senior Associate Editor for the journal “Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes”. In recognition of his contributions, he was recognized with 1) the “Johns Hopkins Distinguished Alumni Award” in 2013, which honors alumni who have typified the Johns Hopkins tradition of excellence and brought credit to the University by their personal accomplishment, professional achievement, or humanitarian service and , 2) “Arthur S. Agatston Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Award” in 2020 that recognizes individuals whose pioneering efforts have saved lives from the leading killer throughout the world, coronary artery disease.
